World Record Temperature

Superconductors.Org has been doing for 3 years and has done this once again. It has been rising the critical temperature of the high temperature superconductors and has broken its own world record temperature.
The scientists at the superconductors.org has made a high temperature superconductor with a critical temperature of 242K.
The compound holding this record is (Tl4Ba)Ba4Ca2Cu10Oy.

This image depicts the characteristics of the new
compound discovered which has critical temperature of 242K.

Scientists increased 15K by adding Thallium into the tin/indium sites and made the temperature to be 233K.This time they increased the doping concentration of the Thallium in the compound and this resulted in the new world record with only 31degrees away from absolute temperature. This promises to develop room temperature superconductors which can decrease the power losses in the transfer of power for household and industrial purposes.

Superconductors.org site gives more information on this record in here
