Graphene Dominated Copper

As it is true that the properties of a material at the normal scale changes at the nano-scale and now this is upto the material used for the metal contacts in the IC interconnects at the nano-scale.As of now manufacturers are using copper as the metal for the IC interconnects for microscales. But reserchers are saying that as the scale decreses to nanoscale the resistivity increases of the copper being used. So,they say that this can be a way of copper being replaced by the graphene which has the same properties of the copper at the nanoscale. The dimensions and the resitivity are very important in the nanoscale design of the electronic devices. This makes graphene important for its properties and dimensions.
Graphene not only offers better resistive characteristics but also offers better electron mobility, better thermal conductivity, higher mechanical strength and reduced capacitance strength between adjacent wires.
